That said, Black on Black crime is definitely real and, yes, Black women will once again take up the bulk of this battle because we are, in essence, defending ourselves as we have done historically.

Is there any doubt that Massie would have been one of those knee-grows that Ms. Tubman would have had to shoot?

This is a dame shame for a black person to be so ignorant in America. I wonder how many points he got from the white right, for pulling this kind of crap?

Oh dear. Mr. Massie doesn’t seem to be a very happy man. Take heart, ladies; he comes across as somebody trying to desperately fit in (with the white right, perhaps?) who knows deep down inside that he has absolutely no chance of ever being accepted.

It really is sad..I wonder what kind of experiences helped produce that kind of empty desperation. He’s probably hurting inside and hurt people have been known to do some cruel, bizarre, illogical – and, yes, scary! – things.

(By the way, If he’s going to tag Michelle with such a label, what kind of label does he think that his “friends” attach to him?! It’s probably best that he doesn’t know!)

Separate point but related: White on White crime is just as real as Black on Black crime. It’s just that the media doesn’t label the former but makes certain to emphasise the latter. Many and varied are the reasons why we as Black people are often not as kind to one another (or ourselves for that matter…!) as we should be. Something for us to work on.
