Michelle Obama Watch

So, now Michelle Obama is the black, Muslim, baby mama of two nappy-headed hos. Have I missed anything or is this a summation of the right-wing media coverage of Michelle thus far?

Perhaps this will be Megyn’s terrorist fist jab moment.

The notion that Fox presents news is hard to support objectively – which may be why they are so insistent that “News” is included at every opportunity. They are an entertainment network, seeking ratings.

This would be outrage worthy had she not used the term to refer to him in one of his early introductions. Sometimes we bring these things on ourselves. (BTW, I LOVE Michelle Obama and will be voting for her husband)

Perhaps I’m the minority in this one, but my advice to Michelle is simply put: if you don’t wanna take the shots, don’t provide the ammunition. Does anybody here REALLY think that the GOP would have the sensitivity to avoid making comments like this if we (or, in this case, Michelle) didn’t do it first? Though the history is completely dissimilar, I liken this to us somehow giving each other a pass for the n-word while getting incensed when white folks say it. Though referencing these two terms is like comparing apples to lima beans, the underlying point remains: if we don’t publicize and embrace certain things ourselves, morons over at Fox News (or their mindless followers) won’t have the justification to either.

I’m just sayin…

Kes, I get that. Trust me when I say, I’m definitely on the same page as everybody else. But — again — expecting the loons over at Fox Noise to get that is a stretch. Michelle could’ve accomplished the same thing by saying “the father of my children”, without giving those clowns a leg to stand on.

I hate to admit it: but when you’re black, the bar is raised, the expectations are higher, and the spotlight is much brighter. It’s up to us to be cognizant of that reality. Is it fair? Of course not. But that’s just how it is.

I’ve often wondered if there are any cauasians who have ever thought about what their foreparents did to non-white people centuries & centuries ago. Every since Christopher Columbus “discovered” a land that had already been here and occupied, that particular thought should have ran across a Caucasians’’s mind at some point. If not, it is pitiful and pathetic. After doing all that wrong, they have the nerve to act superior to everyone non-white person. What happened to the Native Americans who were living here first, and was tricked by the Caucasians by their thievery? How many white people lives next door to a Native American? How does a Caucasian feel knowing that his or her foreparents forced my distant blood relatives from their native land and forced to cone to a land stolen from the Native Americans, and to become its slave and work without compensation? How do you feel? Is is pride or embarrassment? The first thing “Caucasians” should do is to say, “I’m sorry.” Fox (Noise) is getting worst and worst! Now, just why would the hand jesture that the Obama’s did become an automatic “terriost” jesture? Fox “feeds” this mess & these lies to viewers with little or no intelligence, just to keep a lie going, Knowing abosutely nothing about middle east people or customs, Fox jhad to make things up to keep an audience (a teaser). “Fixed” News’ commentators continually show their ignorance so much that I have to click to another channel it gets so sickening!. How stupid can one Station be? Medgyn, It you know so much, you should have known what the hand jesture meant ! You just don’t get it! Just like the way you dance or try to keep a beat — you just don’t get it! Well,
