Why is she talking about Michelle..Talk about your own darn sefl!! Worry about not falling off the prescription pill band wagon..Cindy is the typical white women who never had to lift a finger, grew up wealthy probably with servants, never had to fight for anything and had everything given to her..Her passion is trying to stay a size 0…Face so stiff u can’t even tell when she smiling..(ok, that was mean, I’m sorry but it’s true)

Of course she’ s “always been proud of her country”, she’s been largely insulated from the struggles of racism, classism, economic problems etc. She hasn’t even had to fight for a job! We really need to have a frank disscussion on patriotism in this counrty. who decides what’s patriotic? the right wing conservatives? because based on their standards most of the country isn’t patriotic, and if being proud of everything this country does is patriotism then almost everyone fails. We’ve all been dissapointed by our government in some way shape or form. This is just a part of a larger campaign to paint The Obamas ( and black politicians) as “the others.” as outsiders to the “american” way of life.

Cindy needs to let it go! i really don’t think she’s helping her husband by beating this dead horse. If Laura Bush can get over it, then So should she. Cindy’s best bet would be to loose the Stepford wife routine and focus on women’s issues.

LAMH, I’ll tell you what the so-called “Family value types” argue — because there a local blogger who always responds in the same way when this comes up: Cindy McCain has been married to McCain for all these years, so what does it matter what either of them did all that long ago. It’s ancient history.

That’s why I think bring all of that up is not very productive.

It’s better to focus on the positive that Michelle brings. I can’t wait (though I don’t want to jinx it!) to see Michelle and Barack raising those two little girls in the White House. It will be quite a contrast to what the Bushes did or failed to do with their daughters (and yes, I recognize the age difference). I don’t doubt that there will be a good number of people who try to insult them — some on a daily basis — but I feel confident that Michelle is strong enough to see it through.

Back to the point of the post — I’ve had people — on blogs, of course, never in person — question my patrotism. It’s not a winning strategy anymore. And while Cindy McCain didn’t come right out and say it — contrasting her behavior with that of Laura Bush can only reflect badly on Cindy.

I know we should take the high road, but it really p…me off that Michelle Obama is supposedly not good enough to be First Lady to some people because of what they interpret her “proud of…” statement to mean, when compared to Cindy McCain who aside from the criminal drug history, was actively seeing a married man (don’t get me wrong, it takes 2 to tango, so McCain is just as much to blame). Where are the so-called “Family values/mariiage voters” who hate Bill Clinton in part because of his infedelities, but who have no qualms about supporting John McCain. It really “sticks in my craw”.

The Republicans are a complete disgrace to this country. They are white trash in suits. They go after people using Hitler tactics. They do whatever it takes to win.

I’m not Michelle, so I’m not going to pretend what she would do. Maybe she’d whip Cindy’s ass. So, you don’t know. All I do know is if you go on Aol.com right now they’ve got this horrible poll going on Michelle Obama. The pictures they have up make her look like the angry black woman the media loves to play. But if you look at the thousands of comments. It makes you cringe. The racism is rampant, aggressive and ugly. Republicans know how to exploit the worse out of people and have a white male owned media to allow them to get away with it.

Yes, Hilary got shafted. And now it’s Michelle’s turn. This lynching will be televised!!!!
