Montrae: As a well-educated professional black man, I cannot agree with you more! At my job whenever I assert myself people act as though I’m the big bad wolf who is going to eat them alive! I’ve been told that I’m angry. However, when whites are dissatisfied with job issues they are characterized as “disgruntled.” Your words about African-Americans being labeled as “strong, “elitist” and cocky, are very true in my case.

What do you really mean by “strong”?
We have an African-American woman who is the wife of an African-American Presidential Candidate that epitomizes the AMERICAN DREAM.
African-American’s have been told for generations that we need to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps yet when we do we are said to be “strong”, “elitist”, “cocky”, “angry”.

What are you really trying to say?
