I’ve said it elsewhere, and no one said this was going to be easy, but I hope that this site chooses to focus on the positive as much as the negative…..Lord knows there’s far too much of the latter, and really is anyone surprised by what we’re seeing out here?

One thing that I think needs to change in the Western media is the tendency to focus on What Is Wrong rather than acknowledge, support and “raise up” That Which Is Right. Just take a look to the right of your screen underneath “Recent Posts” and you might see what I mean!

Why should those putting forth draining, spiritually depleting vibes get all the notice? Can we please actively look for positive articles and comments about Michelle and hold these up to the light for all to view. Barack and Michelle need to be flooded in light and positivity; that is one change that we can all play a part in bringing to fruition. Yes, we can!

I heard about the increase in hate group membership – no surprise there.

And Lynne, I agree with your assessment of Burt Prelutsky. Unfortunately, he has Black counterparts like Mychal Massie that are willing to go even further.

I think his “ingrate” comments were directed at a black person who has had incredible opportunities at a time where the black community in general complains about how nothing is “given” to them.

Why give him the benefit of the doubt. You know, MAYBE, if I hadn’t of read too many stories about Michelle Obama, he’d get the benefit of the doubt. But, it’s always there – that subtext…

As if because of my education and other opportunities that I’ve had in life (due to the parents who took hell and SACRIFICED ), I’m supposed to be a ‘ Grateful Darkie’.

I mean, you live where you do, you went to school where you did, ‘ what could you possibly be ANGRY about rikyrah?’

Um, maybe because I can read above an 8th grade level and understand the White Supremacist Underpinnings of this country.

So, that’s why he gets no benefit of the doubt.

The reason I can give him the benefit of the doubt is because I’ve had similar thoughts about our people. Thoughts not necessarily related to Michelle Obama being an ingrate, but thoughts about how much we accencuate the negative (i.e. racism) while ignoring or downplaying the positive (success in spite of racism).

The problem with giving this racist the benefit of the doubt is that he is NOT giving Michelle Obama or any other black person the benefit of the doubt! Attacking her publicly calling her a “nasty, bitter, openly racist ingrate” has NOTHING to do with any black person downplaying our success. This idiot is expressly negating our success by lumping Michelle Obama in with the people that you are talking about – that have NOTHING to do with this conversation. He is not playing fair – standard for racists who want to paint everyone they hate with a broad brush and ignore anything good.

If this guy said these things, I would think he was referring to Michelles comment that she had never been proud of her country until her husband started gaining ground in his bid for the presidency. Let’s assume he’s a racist bigot wih sheets hidden under his bed.

Make all the excuses you want for her, but that statement was very revealing, considering she’s no child, and has been educated with the cream of society, a gift only a tiny minority receive. To go half her life and fail to find anything to be proud of? Where the hell was she? Unless Black Liberation theology told her to hate her country because everyone was out to get her and the opression was always at her door, stalking every moment of her life. Then, she had a moment of clarity. Possible?

As for strategy, Obama will fall of his own weight, having failed to keep his word, failed to keep his promises, failed to hide his very toxic friendships, failed to rise above his own narrow, ideological views and truly be the uniter who has risen above the old style politics. Instead, he engages in code language, double speak, obfuscation and sometimes, openly Marxist dialogue. Not too smart. It seems he’s arrogant enough to consider himself the winner already, so loose sloppy campaigning is no big deal.

Frankly, Michelles not as thinskinned as many of you here, I’m certain. She’s been called worse, or been treated worse, or thought worse of…and if she can’t handle the heat of a campaign, what’s she going to do when the daily grind of first lady stares her in the face everyday?

This is not 1950. It wears thin when endless victimology is perpetrated by those who are educated and know better.. who know that massive gains have been made, with no chance of returning to any hint of jim crow or segregation. Put down the NAACP propoganda, dust off the need to be offended at the slightest thing, real or imagined, and get on with training the next generation of Americans, not clinging to the distant past.

Or, stall the dramatic progress and absolutely ruin the lives of your children with a poor outlook on life and by instilling a helplessness that bleeds into every part of their lives, and from which they may never escape.

Hey Barack, let’s blame the media, instead of you and Michele taking some responsibility for Michele’s low popularity. Maybe the public doesn’t like it when a potential first lady makes statements about America being mean, or not being proud of America until her husband is elected. Or, maybe it’s because you joined Barack in subjecting your small children to the likes of Anti-American racist Jeremiah Wright throughout their entire childhood.
