I’m just completely disgusted at the complacency of the black community. People think we’re monkeys because too many of us act like it. Jumpin’ up and down on stage, makin’ monkey faces, squealing and actin’ ignorant as hell.

Black comics are just a complete ignorant disgrace. Black men and women are soo use to degrading black women that they can’t stop themselves. Bernie Mac is the today’s watermelon. He can’t speak standard english, he degrades black women, and he ISN’T FUNNY! So, why, God, why is anybody in the Obama campaign booking these Chitlin’ eatin, monkey actin’ fools! Does anybody have any common sense. Gina, please let them borrow yours for a minute.

There is NOOOOOOOOO excuse for this. I’m soo sick of BET, MTV and the plantation owner Viacom co-signing on this degradation.

Why DOESN’T BARACK OBAMA BLAST THE DEGRADATION AND MYSOGNY BLACK WOMEN HAVE TO DEAL WITH IN OUR OWN RACE. Barack is pissing me off. If he can barely come to his wife and daughter’s defense – WE’RE DOOMED!!!

I would also be remiss if I did not remind everyone that Hillary Clinton had Bob Johnson stumping for her. Bob Johnson is one of the greatest enemies of Black womanity in modern history. I found it the height of irony that he was prepared to fight for the honor of a Hillary Clinton when he had made a fortune off of throwing Black women under the bus. There is plenty of misogyny to spread around.

Bernie Mac is a fool, an idiot, and a classless indignant. I think the Obama campaign should have been more careful, mistakes like that should never happen. Black men, has for the longest devalued black women, and its time for at to stop, there is so many well educated, well spoken, and respectable black comedian who is looking to enter the industry why not support them, instead of those fools.

In addition, all black women are not the same, maybe his girlfriend might be that way, he should not assume that soon to Be First Lady Michelle Obama is like that.

I agree with Talula, I think Mac was chosen because he’s from Chicago. Thanks Gina for doing this. Keeping up on notice and on point. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Michelle Obama Watch. It’s part of the daily clicks, if you know what I mean.

There’s one more thing I’d like to say about all this. I’ve noticed that women voting in the primary tended to split their vote in unfortunate ways. I’m not talking about choosing Clinton or Obama here – but that’s the genesis of it. Some women who voted for Clinton refused to see or hear the sexist frames being applied to Michelle Obama – and vice-versa. And Cindy McCain’s been targeted as well – let’s not leave her out. She counts too. We all do. This overt sexism is wrong – and it’s wrong no matter who’s the target. I really wish we’d all agree on that. If we did – we could come together politically – and what a voting block that would be! A Progressive Women’s Party (or, as Melissa from Shakesville calls it – The League of Feminist Voters). All we have to do is agree that sexist framing is wrong. Period. I’d like to add that bigotry is wrong in general – but if we could all just agree to fight sexism – we’d have a platform – and a huge base from which to foment change.

That impression came from the pool report when according to the pool report, Bernie Mac ended a joke by refering to two women in “the families” that would be plural meaning Mac’s and Obamas. That is why I am asking for a transcript,

He promised to help Obama and that he would be there “like the Jackson Five” and ended his irreverent riff with a joke involving the women in the families and living with two “hoes”

Ok, I get what you’re saying…..my guess is that by Tuesday he’ll on Tom Joyner’s show explaining the context and apologizing.

Now Chris Rock did his same bit on the whole “a black woman can’t be First Lady” at the Essence Festival – and I know I’m not stretching it when I say it wasn’t well received – at least not in the section I was in (or the surrounding ones) – folks actually GROANED…loudly.

Bernie was clearly the wrong choice for a presidential candidate’s event. Whoever made that decision, needs to be demoted to passing out fliers – or outright fired.

I do, however think Bernie is funny as all hell. Those who don’t probably didn’t like Pryor or Murphy in their heyday. Stick to Margaret Cho and Kathy Griffin, then.

On election day – I will be voting for Obama, not Bernie, or a miniscule, yet bad decision by a some staffer.

Shouldn’t the more appropriate question be, was Bernie was “implying” that Michelle Obama is a Ho?

Because if Bernie was “inferring”, as you so stated, then that necessarily means that he was basing his statement on whatever he saw Michelle Obama say or do, and, hence, from those actions or statements, then made the “inference” that Michelle Obama is a Ho.

That is because an inference is something that one perceives, not something that one states.

Thus, if the writer of this blog believes that Bernie was hinting to the audience that Michelle Obama is a Ho, it would necessarily mean that he was “implying”, not inferring, said sentiment.

Of, course, said sentiment could certainly have been based on Bernie’s prior “inference”. Or not.

Either way, an implication and an inferrence are two different things and a blog writer should know the difference if they wish to be taken credibly.

First of all where was michelle obama when the decisin was made to have bernie mack speak. and no i am not attacking michelle > but michelle and barack has to begin to see the full picture, and the truth is that white america is not going to turn the white house over to the obama’s without a fight, the obama’s are under a spectator’s glass, and they have to learn that what you can do around black america you cannot do around white america, now bernie mack was their because someone was not on their job, barack is not the president yet, and i am sick and tired of all of these slip’s > and and while i am talking why can’t michelle wear panty hose when she go’s out to speak . i know some people are going to get angry but, the truth is michelle obama is going to have to learn to do the dance the way her husband is, do you think barack wants to be in a suit and tie seven day’s a aweek , but he doe’s it because he has learned that in order for him to get to where he want’s to get to he has to play the white man’s game, when we see cindy mccain she is alway’s emacculate everything in place. trust me michelle is being watched like a hawk as well as the wee michelle’s, and truth is michelle has to make sure her daughter’s are well groomed at all time’s and their hair should never ever be looking unkept in the public, remember the interview last week with the wee michelle’s, the small daughter’s hair should have been brushed back more neatly. the truth is the truth > prophet <
