It is so funny, because Malia Ann Obama stated that it was the best birthday of her life according to Yahoo: News. I believe it was, because her aunt and cousin was there, and the people really made her feels at home. I think the Obama clans is adjusting to life in the public eyes, therefore, we will see much more of them in the coming months.

How about Michelle’s outfit? She dresses so elegant yet hip. I was loving her outfit, she looks terrific in that white plaid (so unique!) jumper and cardigan. Sporty, functional, and still effortlessly beautiful. Not too many women can do what she does and she does it well.

I’ve said the Obamas remind me of an improved version of the Kennedy’s because the Obama family generates similar feeling that JFK’s family did when they came into the White House, “Camelot”. Two young attractive people in the prime of their lives with a young family made people happy. They were different for their times (Catholic, shocking back then). They made the American people feel hopeful, optimistic and made them believe that positive change could and would happen, just like the Obama has.

Michelle is a huge improvement over Jackie, no disrespect intended. Jackie was largely a fashion plate, born and bred to be the wife of a powerful man without much to say, I remember her famous quote about sex being awkward because “it rumples the clothes.” Yikes! No wonder JFk was tom-catting around with Marilyn. But Mrs. Obama is such an improvement on Jackie Kennedy. They are similar in ways and she knows it. They both have a reserved, classy manner. They are both young and beautiful, married to a handsome, charismatic young man. They both have a similar effortless, chic, unique, sophisticated, fresh, young, unpretentious look. Michele’s style is more savvy and individual to her even as it winks at the past, but that’s the style of the times, and she’s very attuned to that but has her own ideas and is a fashion trailblazer. Designers are already using the Obamas as inspirations for their collections. Culturally, they will set the pace for the country, now that is power we haven’t seen since Kennedy. In the coming years, we will be wearing Obama too. It’s gonna be a return to the look of the mid sixties, I bet you anything.

Michelle’s just as fashion forward and effortlessly graceful as Jackie’s wardrobe was, but she also is has an engaging, active mind and she makes no secret of the fact that she loves her girls and it is obvious that she and Barack are still very much in love and have a healthy sex life. If that isn’t an improvement I don’t know what is.
