The image, on the New Yorker cover, “spoke” to me about the Obamas as outsiders, aligned with black interests that are hostile to this country, and foreign interests, that are intent on doing Americans harm. Hating America, evidenced by the burning flag, and smugly saluting each other, presumably for winning the presidential election, and an opportunity to put in play, what the symbols around them suggest – namely, bring this nation down —

let’s sets a foundational concept here: the NYer cartoon is a riff on right-wingers (like my friend, repeat friend, a US-educated MD under 50), who really believe that BO (and MO) are both complete fruads, muslim wolves in sheeps clothing. readers of the NYer see this metaphor as a good-hearted jab in the jibs.o biggy.if you’reot comfortable with metaphor and irony, the cartoon’s not meant for you, for better or worse.

LOL. I agree that Michelle Malkin is quite a “character” (to put it very very mildly), but she has a voice that some choose to listen to. And such voices should be called out as B.S.
