Michelle Obama Watch

You beat me to it!! She looks fabulous. She will be someone our young girls will look up to for years to come.

Michelle Obama is gorgeous. Ebony really did do a great job on that cover with Michelle as the centerpiece.

I believe Barack and Michelle Obama are a loving couple. I believe Barack has to discuss what he intends to do outside of the marriage in relation to how it will effect the marriage and the family.

With that said, I don’t think Sandra Rose’s opinion of Barack is true. Barack is not an idiot as she alluded to by saying, “Barack is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.” That statement is not based on reality. I give Sandra Rose for giving props to Michelle, but why try to bring Barack down in the process. It was neither warranted or necessary to do so.

Here’s a link to audio and a “style show”. A very classy lady, and an in-depth interview by the editor. Sandra Rose’s cattiness about Barack was not in evidence in the audio clips.

I’m from Australia, so I don’t know who this “Sandra Rose” moran is. But Barack is “not the sharpest tool in the drawer?” (or shed, as we like to say). Um…Columbia, Harvard, _Harvard Law Review_, UChicago Law Faculty. And, um, he is a DAMN fine writer, too. Good grief woman, get your head out of your own…ahem, and try reading something other than _People_ magazine.

Wow!!! I wish the cover didn’t have the verbiage and stuff on it. I would frame the picture and swear by my right arm that this is not THE Michelle Obama, but rather this is my look alike girlfriend. She is beautiful. How in the HELL did Barack sweet talk her. What a beautiful First Lady!

Michelle is one beautiful woman that is intellegent, God fearing mother and wife. Ebony has done a magnificant job on the cover and story. Ms. Rose displays a perfect example of FOOT IN BIG MOUTH with statement about Barak Obama not being the sharpest knife in the drawer..certainly didn’t do her homework!

I can’t for the life of me understand why Hillary Clinton’s white female supporters choke on the idea of voting for Obama. Hmmm? Could it be a case of sexual and racial politics combined? Perhaps if Barack Obama had followed the well-trodden path of so many ambitious Black men who have opted to marry white (or as near-white as possible) they could better identify with him. There’s no secret that white women of that generation felt (and still feel) a certain “gotcha” pride when they parade their (often successful) Black man in front of us. They’re saying: “He’s ambitious and wants the best in everything — that includes me. Take that!” Whether they’re conscious of it or not, these women are punishing him for not reflecting that mind-set. They would rather swallow knives than see a beautiful Black woman married to an adoring, superbly successful Black man (the most powerful man in the world if he gets elected) call herself “first lady”. That’s a factor. Trust me, I’m a child of the late sixties, early seventies. A time when white women thought the greatest honour they could bestow upon a Black man was their white-ness (Fanon, anyone?) and Black men agreed in droves — and many still do. If nothing else, Barack Obama has given Black women a much needed boost! If I were American, I know who I’d cast my vote for.

Michelle is beautiful and I envy her knowledge. That family provides a sense of hope. No matter where you come from and what color your skin may be you have the opportunities now to make it to Harvard and even as far as the White House. I feel grateful to live in this time and to witness something so rich and monumental. I will always remember these days!

She’s beautiful, smart and has a good heart. The perfect 1st Lady!

All I can say is that they have given me a clearer picture of what a beautiful marriage is all about. I feel her struggles, pain, fear etc but what I feel the most is a woman that loves her husband and vice versa.

That is the reason for the glow – it comes from within. Thank you Michelle for being a positive role model. I pray that all goes well for you and your loved ones.

I think we can all appreciate the fine art of “air brushing” of photographs. Did you check out the glamorous shot of her on a US magazine cover in a red dress? Fabulous air brush. But these comments, “regal….gorgeous plus brilliant…..breath takenly (not a real word) beautiful…..the perfect 1st lady…..beauty of truly undiluted blackness (even though Obama seemed proud to boast about her white blood in his Philadelphia race speech)…..Black woman with class (even though she let her white bra straps show at the DNC (now that’s class)…..God fearing mother and wife (if you buy into Black Theology.)

Ladies, you are in love with a photograph and your own ideals which it represents to you!!! Where’s that smile when she’s on the stump? Why doesn’t she ever look this positive while discussing America and her opportunities at its hand?

And to Andrea Berry above, why can’t white Hillary voters go over to Obama without choking? Perhaps for the same reasons many black Hillary voters could not take the leap. I can only speak for myself, but perhaps its his Marxism…or his lack of experience and naiveté…or his love and hate of himself (yea, he’s so proud of being black he had to have his nose sculptured for a little Caucasian refining)…or his inability to answer questions directly and forcefully…or his made-up resume on the stump…or his tax give-aways that will further cripple this economy…or his weird associations and suspicious mentors…or his same-old-thing politics…or his plan to turn the US treasury into an United Nations ATM…or his disregard for our sovereign borders…or his desire to ban private handgun ownership…or his lack of vision for energy in the future that needs to begin now…or how about his violating the Logan Act (a felony carrying prison time) etc, etc, etc.

A case of sexual and racial politics? I think not. I’m not up on sexual politics, but I hope I’m not chastised because Obama is a little too scrawny and indecisive for my tastes (plus not much of a gift-giver I hear.) Racial politics? Come on, he’s just another run-of-the-mill politician who has an awful lot to learn.

At says Barack Obama is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Wow all I have to say is first off I like Michelle but for you to say Barack is not the sharpest knife in the drawer is crazy. You must not have heard. Do you know what this man has done with his life and this was all him. First of all he was the first african american president of the Harvard law review. Do you even know what that is or what that means. It means as Michelle (the smart and lovely) says it mean you are the best of the best and you are smart by anyone’s standard. You do not become President of the Harvard Law Review not being the sharpest knife in the drawer. He is smarter than the word smart itself. Your right he isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer because his knife is too sharp for the drawer he might just break the drawer .
