OH No, say it ain’t so, Page Six is reporting that Tyra Banks is making over Michelle Obama:

Banks – who once had her breasts examined on TV to show everybody they were “real” – is now dressing up as Michelle Obama for the September cover of Harper’s Bazaar. “It’s a full makeover,” said one spy. “You know how Tyra likes to do that stuff. And she’ll get a lot of press off it.” Page Six

This is from Page Six so consider the source. If anything, Michelle should be making Tyra over!!! If they glue a lace front wig onto Michelle and tell her to be FIERCE…..

Maybe I read it wrong, but I thought they meant that Tyra would be portraying Michelle. If this is true, it would be Tyra who is undergoing a makeover to look like Michelle, not Michelle being made over by Tyra.

I’m going to be all alone on this, but I’m a Tyra fan (I like the haute homegirl image she’s built for herself). I think the concept is comparable to Vanity Fair’s female comedian spread where the likes of Sarah Silverman dressed up as contemporary “bad girls” like Amy Winehouse…or even that ANTM challenge from whatever cycle CariDee won where they had to dress up as both members of celebrity couples.

It’s just dress up, and from what I can see on Brigitte’s site — though I don’t think Tyra is really exuding Michelle’s energy as much as she’s playing “First Lady Barbie” — the spread is picture perfect.

They had it all wrong then lol. She didn’t make over Michelle she pretended to be Michelle or her idea of what a first lady would or should look like. Leave it to Page Six – a rag btw- to get it wrong.
