   I recently received a copy of a room order check suite 29M signed by Michelle Obama. dated 10/15/08 15:04 which is 3:04 PM the check came to $447.39 . Can anyone prove that this is not accurate. If it’s accurate. You can defend or attack her depending on your point of view.
   If it’s bogus the perpetrator of this act should be prosecuted for any crime he/she has committed. Michelle Obama and Barack Obama have political views that certainly be challenged without stooping to fraudulent claims

    First off the story if not true, if you did your checking you would know that. Second point they are both Attorney, with good salaries. Third, this does not even come close to the Sarah Palin story who spent 150,000.00 for clothing for her self, five kids and husband.

    In the state we are in, people loosing there jobs, families loosing there homes, and they spend this type of money in less then two months, and have the nerve to talk about cutting cost. They put in for this 150,000.00 to be paid back. Oh, by the way, why is it that most people want to believe everything that is sent over the net about Obama, but when it comes to McCain it’s a different story.

    If you did your home work like I did, I checked out both of them, and Obama comes out cleaner then McCain. Did you also know that before Sarah Palin was even name the running mate to McCain she also did some heavy spending on travel and charged it to the tax payers.

    In 2006, she went to an function, took her kids with her, stay in separate rooms and the rooms cost for each night approx. $800.00 a night. Now we are talking about double rooms which comes close to 1,600.00 a night and the tax payer has to cover that. Do your home work and I’m speaking to those that believe everything they read about Obama in these hoax emails. Let’s be fair here, McCain is a false change, and Obama is a real Change. I’ll take real or false any day.

    Now all of sudden you liberals care about political spending? Where were you when Hillary Clinton was spending 100’s of thousands of dollars on vacation trips? Where are you now when Obama is raising all of this money, when 4 & 8 years ago you were all crying about how money is having too much influence on our politicians, but now that it’s YOUR guy it’s all ok right?

    Also for the record, Governor Sarah Palin does not own any of those clothes. Those clothes are probably still stuck in a dressing room somewhere after being worn what, once?

    Get a life people, read the Constitution, more importantly read the Federalist Papers (specifically Essay #45 by James Madison) and then tell me the founding father’s were “Vague” in their speaking about federal vs state powers.

    If Joe the Plumber were a suspected terrorist, civil liberties activists would stampede the halls of Congress on his behalf. Liberal columnists would hyperventilate over the outrageous invasions of his privacy by Ohio state and local employees. The ACLU would demand the Big Brother snoopers’ heads. And Democrat leaders would convene immediate hearings and parade him around the Beltway as the new poster boy/victim of unlawful domestic spying.

    But because peaceful American citizen Joe Wurzelbacher is an outspoken enemy of socialism, rather than an enemy of America, the defenders of privacy have responded to his plight with an impenetrable cone of silence.

    After the last presidential debate, in which John McCain invoked Joe the Plumber’s anti-socialism shot heard ‘round the world, several taxpayer-subsidized employees in Ohio immediately rifled through government databases in search of damning information. The Columbus Dispatch identified Helen Jones-Kelley, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, as one of the dirt-diggers. She also happens to be a Barack Obama supporter who contributed the maximum amount to his presidential campaign.

    On Wednesday, Jones-Kelley admitted that the records checks on Joe that she approved were far more extensive than she first acknowledged. In addition to pawing through his child-support papers, the agency “also checked Wurzelbacher in its computer systems to determine whether he was receiving welfare assistance or owed unemployment compensation taxes.”

    Obama supporter Jones-Kelley argued that plumbing the plumber’s information was no big deal because the agency always checks up on citizens who come to public light. Democrat Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland quickly pooh-poohed the civil liberties infringements and denied any nefarious political motives.

    If that doesn’t send a chill up your spine, maybe you don’t have a spine.

    In addition to Jones-Kelley, investigators have uncovered at least three other suspicious uses of state computer systems to access Wurzelbacher’s data. A Toledo police clerk, Julie McConnell, has been charged with gross misconduct for accessing the Law Enforcement Automated Data System to retrieve Wurzelbacher’s address. She reportedly did it as a favor to a reporter. Authorities also say the Cuyahoga County social services office was compromised and an outside contractor with access to the state Attorney General’s test account similarly searched Joe’s data. Moreover, driver’s-license and vehicle-registration data about Wurzelbacher were obtained from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

    I contacted the ACLU twice for comment this week about this rampant plundering of Joe the Plumber’s records. Like the Genesis song goes: No reply at all. (That was the same reply the ACLU gave me two months ago, when I asked if they had any reaction to the Chicago gangland tactics of a MoveOn spin-off group that announced it was trolling campaign finance databases and targeting conservative donors with warning letters in a thuggish attempt to depress Republican fundraising.)

    For the last seven years, these left-wing privacy champs have lobbied on behalf of foreign enemy combatants. The ACLU fought unsuccessfully to kill the Bush administration’s post-9/11 effort to monitor terrorist communications in the U.S. The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and USA Today went ballistic over the government’s bank surveillance program to trace terrorist financing.

    All those papers fumed earlier this year when State Department contractors illegally sifted through the passport files of Barack Obama (and Hillary Clinton and John McCain). Obama mouthpiece Bill Burton intoned after the passport scandal: “Our government’s duty is to protect the private information of the American people, not use it for political purposes.”

    But when freelance members of the Obama Goon Squad take it upon themselves to do opposition research on The One’s citizen critics and rummage through government databases, where are all the privocrats when you need them? How safe will your state tax and IRS records be if Dear Leader is elected?

    Welcome to Barack Obama’s America.

    Stop being “sheeple” and READ about the candidates. Don’t just take what they are say as gospel, you PINHEADS.

    Many of you have written about Governor Palin SPENDING 150,000 for clothes. Well check your facts. She did NOT spend any of this money. the money was spent by the RNC on clothes for her. No she did not ask or even want the clothes. More than one third were returned right away and another third have been sitting in the luggage area on the McCain campaign plane and are likely to be returned. The others were used for appearances and these will be donated to charity.

    You complain about smears directed against Obama. How about checking your facts before you post.

    If you really do have a receipt for anything she bought while in your hotel and you are parading it before the media then you have to be stupid! How many really important people do you think would ever grace your hotel property again if they felt everything they did while there including what they ate was put in the press.

    Please! My daughter runs a hotel and she is a professional. She would never, never answer this kind of question with anything other than we can not comment on our customers for the media.

    Even if she did order lobster and cavier you fail to say who paid for it. If she paid for it then it is really no ones business is it?

    Sarah Palin’s clothes were bought with money that was donanted to the McCain campaign for campaigning not to dress her up. There are many people who are furious about it and about the fact that she is trying to act like she is just any other middle class American……sure she is….with her hand in every political pot she can get it in to pay her way through life.

    Funny to read all the crap about both Obama and Palin. Why should we care. Our only problem is that we worry about everything else and don’t take care of our own situations. So what if Palin got clothes (she looked nice and I don’t even like her) and so what if Obama ate lobster or not. All I care about is my kids education, my health care and the future of this economy and its effect on me and my loved ones.
