Chenel, the outfit is, indeed, a Maria Pinto top and skirt in a deep aubergine color. Like the red dress that Michelle Obama wore to the White House, it is from the spring collection, but produced for Obama in a heavier fabric than originally designed, so that it could be worn in the fall.

As always both Mr and Mrs Obama are eloquent and articulate in their speech.

I’m not too keen on Michelle Obama’s make up – particularly the shape of her eyebrows – its too severe and makes it look like she has a permanent frown.
