It is not appropriate for a person of her kind to be wearing very revealing outfits on campaign trail and in the White House, it gives off the exotic dancing strip club feel to this!! I mean come on she looked like a firework/Tellitubbie with ketchup and hot magma plus it’s not appropriate to have her children catch the fashion cold from her ewwwww!!!! That’s the last thing we need and both there dresses were a little too short
Instead she should wear pants it’s too revealing
Well we are on the topic of Sexist the press was extremely sexist towards Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin

i think people are just interested in her
doesn’t matter what the subject is
they are just interested in her
i always wait to see what she’s wearing
she’s a classy woman
and will make a wonderful first lady

I’m sure you, and plenty others, are fully capable of appreciating Michelle Obama’s fashion and intelligence. The real question is whether the general public is capable of this. What critics are really trying to reveal is the media’s complete over-emphasis on Obama’s dresses and other attire. When the general public has easy access to her choices in fashion but they have to do actual research to understand how well-rounded she is, they get the wrong picture. The problem isn’t what you personally choose to talk about, the problem is that the media is perpetuating the stereotype that all you need to know about a women you can learn from her appearances.

I think she looked absolulty amazing and so did the weeMichelle’s. She has her own style and I don’t think anyone should take that away from her. Why can’t we except change, why does she have to live by the standards set for the caucasion sisters in the ‘white House..didn’t we vote for change, Now is the time to stand up for our own individual styles, as long as it is respectful, and she does have her boobs hanging out all over the place..Didn’t we hate those pearls that Brab Bush wore, I know I did..

I took the poll and voted no. Michelle is now an American icon. We CARE about what she wears. She’s a role model and a wonderful person.

Just because I walk dogs for a living (and, yes am a white 42 yo woman), doesn’t mean I don’t know a woman with a great bod in a great dress. Which of course, that election night dress only looked right on the original model, check it out on one of those fashion mag comparison. Focusing on Michelle Obama’s clothes is so not sexist, it’s so … patriotic!

After all, anything and everything she’s been wearing seems to me to be American-designed and even the major labels, G.Crew and The Gap are, I believe, headquartered here in the U.S. Plus, any clothes she’s wearing that we – who have bodies like hers, fabulous butt and all – can now go searching to *buy* it in our local stores.

Apart from all her other wonderful accomplishments, I foresee that Michelle will be helping the U.S. economy by wearing clothes that are American-made, as she seems to prefer Chicago-based designers.

Her The View comments have made me want to go shopping! And, I don’t have one credit card. So, cash in hand I go to help our economy!

While I agree that Michelle is a little awkward (kinda like a female basketball player in a dress) I definitely think that she is first lady material. In fact she will adjust. The clothes, the finesse, she will come into her own. She already has the foundation which includes beauty, smarts, accomplishments and the most powerful man in the world who loves her and lets everyone know. They are a package deal… get over it!
