Ans thats why I decided to wish you a very “Happy Birthday” and to also wish you the best in the coming years for your husband pres-elect of the USA, your family and friends as well.

I really like what Mr. Obama said;

“There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.”

I am so pleased and happy for him, that he won the election!

OMG!!! How cool is that… My Birthday is Jan 17th, 2009 WOW i feel special i found it cute.. congrats and please help us low/middle class women make it threw todays world. I know its hard on men too but look at what some these women do for a living we need a strong woman and we feel you are her.

I was truly touched by the grace and eloquence you exhibited during the presidential campaign. God has blessed your family and I say a special prayer for your family every morning. I pray a prayer of protection for you, President Barack, Malia and Shasha and your mother. That God would help guide President Barack in all his actions, that his deeds will not only help this country, but the world. The world will be a better place during Barack’s watch.
Michelle, as I know you already know, Giving to others brings great joy, it’s contagious and makes your life golden. Something as simple as giving shoes, can be bigger and better than all the material trappings of the world. The International Student Association of Alabama State University . I take great pride in working at an HBCU which also has the added benefit of being located Montgomery, Alabama in the cradle of the Civil Rights Movement. My organization (ISA) has started an outreach campaign to collect mostly shoes for children in a school in Haiti. We are calling it “Soles For Haiti” and we have issued challenges to schools, churches and friends to help by spreading the word that we are collecting gently used shoes, bikes, medical supplies, dry rice/beans, and school supplies to fill a 40 ft shipping container by June. To the churches we tell them to encourage their members to “Bring a Sole To Church Today” (LOL)!!! How proud I finally am of this country

I did not realize you went to Princeton–I grew up there–my grandfather was a physicist there- my step-father is a physicist that won a Nobel Prize–my brothers godmother was the daughter of the brilliant mathematician Von Neumann–my family would never have accepted me not doing at least as well as my brothers–and yet I remember with much pain being a young adolescent and reading in the Princeton University magazine–this supposed hallowed institution–such ugly angry things that some alumnae had to say about Princeton allowing women in-I cant even imagine as ugly as it was what else they would emote about Afro-American women–it made my stomach sick– I just didnt know what I could ever have done to deserve such violent wrath–and somehow Princeton has managed to maintain its Ivy league status despite allowing women in–or maybe because of it—

Happy Birthday, Soror Michelle! What an blessing to wake up in the morning and ponder what wonderful inspirations you incite for women across the globe! Thanks for being the ultimate encouragement!
