Michelle Obama Watch

Actually, Michelle Obama is only the second first lady to be on Vogue’s cover (Hillary Clinton was the first). Vogue has photographed all of the first ladies since Lou Hoover (Herbert Hoover’s wife) for the magazine, except for one, whose name escapes me at the moment.

Just looked at the slideshow from Vogue. Not really impressed. There are so many beautiful photos of her out there from the last year, these are not that impressive!

Slight correction, the only other first lady to appear on the cover was hillary clinton in ‘98, Jackie o had a drawing of herself on the cover, all the others were featured in the mag but not top billing. Purple is truly Mrs. O’s colour.

I read some of the article on style.com, and I feel it to be lacking, it was way to much Andre Leon Talley, and how excited he was and how he’s been a supporter and he got to ride up front on the train trip and not enough Michelle.

From reading the condenced version of the Vogue Interview, I must say that I’m not impressed with the interview. It’s appears to be the easiest way to write an interview, and that is capitalizing on Mrs. Obama’s self-title of “Mom-In-Chief”. She is known as a fashion icon, yet because she doesn’t wear labels that are in Vogue, high-in fashion , that he wasn’t really impress with her. I didn’t care for the interview, it didn’t go into depth about Mrs. Obama, did give any new information , didn’t really talk about her life with the President. Didn’t mention the fact that she doesn’t wear any make up, or get her hair done everyday, because Pres.Obama prefers her without all that. There was no mention of the love shared between the Obamas.

BTW: I’m not impressed with Andre L. Talley sense of fashion, hello he dressed J.Hudson for the Oscars.

In agreement with Jaylen, Michelle Obama is the second First Lady to be on the cover of Vogue. Other first ladies have been featured inside the magazine with pictures.

She looks lovely as always. I am glad they are focusing on her sense of style and hopefully they included an article on the worht while causes and work she plans to do as First Lady.
