It saddens me to think that Tammy Bruce is filled with such venom. I hope that others will not let this derogatory description of Michelle Obama influence them.
What we say matters in this world; I hope others will join the many people in this nation who are moving toward a language of hope and change rather than a language of blame and criticism. Michelle Obama seems to be a forthright person who has a lot on her plate right now. Let’s support Mrs. Obama with words of encouragement and by our example we will discourage those who allow their own pain and anger produce hateful, violent language.

Tammy sounds like she is intimidated by Michelle’s self-confidence, education and intelligence. If we all think back to when we were children and in some instances even as adults, it was always the kids who wanted what you had that talked the most trash about you.

Tammy it’s not to late for you to graduate from Princeton University or Harvard Law School, if you have the credentials to gain admittance! What kind of an example are you setting for young girls and women? You soud like a woman in need of her meds!

We have to start calling them out maybe we should all contact Kieth Oberman and Rachel Meadow and get these comments on air because It’s just a matter of time when they start talking about Malia and Sasha. Now we see just how much our voices can be heard.

I can see what has inspired some people to feel a need at times to “brush the dirt off”.

You know there is one thing that I have to thank you and your like for; you have truly helped to lay to rest the myth that Black people are lesser than White people such as yourself. If we – and this includes the “beautiful, warm, sincere, educated and intelligent woman” who’s managed to so clearly make you “lose your rag” – were as inconsequential as you appear to believe, surely you would just ignore us.

Please keep deluding your clearly very unhappy, unfulfilled self that the First Lady would have accomplished little without White people’s help. I´m from Denmark, Europe and I often vist this site because as much as I admire your president I admire your first lady even more.
I know exactly what Michelle was talking about when telling the young girls how she was critizísed for sounding “white” when she was good.
I remember the same thing from my schooltime, only it was not sounding “white” of course, but being snotty, snobby, uppity or the like.
That´s the usual envy from some kids when somebody is doing well or better than themselves.
I know there are kids who on purpose try to do average in order not to be mobbed.
Arms up for Michelle and everything she is doing. She is such a wonderful rolemodel and support for young people as well as women.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Go on and whine elsewhere.

People like Tammy Bruce, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh, and their far left counterparts, are all just snake oil salespeople working their schticks. They make a living playing a part. I understand that, but what I don’t understand, when they get so ugly and low, is how they don’t ever choke on the filth they are spewing. What does it take to be able to talk this kind of trash and live with yourself? How much money is enough to subvert your humanity?

If we stop listening to them, stop buying their books and paying to hear them speak, they will go away. Unfortunately, there are enough of us giving in to our lowest impulses to keep these people going. Even more shameful than the hate these talking heads spew is the fact that each of them commands a small army of people who actually believe their garbage. The talking heads go home and are probably very different people in private. But the people who follow them–the ditto heads, etc., those are the people I worry about. What can we do to put an end to all the mindless hate?

I’m white, grew up low-income, in an ethnically diverse city with friends of lots of different backgrounds….I keep trying to re-read what Tammy is saying, and I just don’t follow her at all. She does not speak for me! What is she trying to say? I also worked hard to get A’s, went on to grad school, still have diverse socio/economic friends. To ‘keep it real’ means to act and live from your heart, from authenticity and truth. It doesn’t mean to keep yourself down. But what on earth is Tammy talking about?

‘Trash’ is people stepping on people to get to the top. ‘Trash’ is disrespecting goodness. Sounds like Ms. Bruce if you ask me. She sounds like a bitter, jealous person, but I can’t understand why she’s saying these things. What an unhappy woman. I feel sorry for her that she sees the world through eyes of ugliness.

We talk about being patriotic. If we can not say positive things about the people that represent us “Americans” what do we expects other nations to say. I know that we must make money but Tammy and all who think the way she does, there should be limits of what we will engage in for money. Whether I like it or not, Mrs. Obama is the first lady of our country and in my opinion representing us well, as “American” and women. Racism, negative remarks are not necessary. If you have an opinion about something Mrs. Obama is doing, there is a respectful way in which this can be said. Oh! I forget, respect is out the window these days. I do hope that we can be a much better people than this. It’s really not what America should be about, definitely this is too much free freedom of speach and press.
