Yes things have improve, but racism is not gone. But I want people like this Ben fellow to open whatever mind and heart he has and think what have blacks had to be proud of this country for. Proud of being treated like second class citizens, in some area worse. Proud of going fighting for this country and when you got home you still dealt with the racism, proud of being killed, hanged, proud of your children being bombed to death in churches, blacks having to give up there seat on the bus to whites, 15 year old kid being dragged out of bed, beaten and killed because he had the nerve to whistle at a white woman,and that's just one case that we know of, how many others happen that were hide under the sheets, there were no law because alot of times they were wearing those sheets, proud of your children going to terrible schools, while the white kids go to good schools, proud of not being able to vote, having waterhoses and dogs put on you as you try to fight for some rights to be treated like a human being. I could go on and on, but I think any sensible person gets the point. Don't try to act like Blacks have always had reasons to be proud of this country. Just the things my Great Grandmother used to talk to her kids about what things were like. It is time to put to rest that comment that Michelle made, because I could understand it well. I remember when Cindy McCain stood before that crowd and said I have always been proud of my country. I would love to have told her, of course, you has always been white. Try walking a mile in my Great Grandmother, or any other black woman shoes.
