Remember back in April when feathers were ruffles when our First Lady, Michelle Obama went all Hugger-in-Chief and embraced Queen Elizabeth? Well the Queen must not have been too upset because MSM is reporting that the two women have developed a “friendship” AND the weeMichelles ( Sasha and Malia) got to meet the Queen on summer vacation. That’s going to be a heck of a Show N’ Tell when they go back to school.:
They were shown around the queen’s official residence and its gardens and the queen herself greeted them afterward, according to a royal source who spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting was private. I am a 61-year-old caucasian. Now, having said that, I think the reason the Queen and Michelle Obama have one important thing in common. They are both highly-intelligent, worldly, and wise. They both realize that you must look at a person for who he/she IS and what that person believes and says without looking at the color that person’s skin. When I look at MY President and First Lady, I judge them by their words and deeds, and I must say, I am PROUD that they are the persons they are, and I am ecstatic that they are the persons this nation has badly needed for a long, long time. They me extremely proud to be an American: something I have not felt in 8 years!

No surprises, here, that the Queen and the First Lady have stayed in touch since meeting, earlier this year.
When I heard that Michelle and her daughters were coming to my city this month, the thought did cross my mind that maybe they’d get the chance to see the Queen, and there we have it….I was right!
It was very clear to me that our Sovereign was very taken with Michelle, when they first met, and this is yet another feather in the First Lady’s cap. Isn’t she doing well…!
