Her husband has called her the closer; the rock of their family. He has admitted that if she ran against him for public office that she would win. According to a USA Today/Gallup poll First Lady Michelle Obama has indeed beat her husband – in a popularity contest. Out of 1521 adults surveyed, October 16 to 19, 61% had a favorable opinion of Michelle Obama, 6% more than her husband.
After nine months of being the First Lady, Michelle Obama has turned the White House into the people’s house and it seems that some are finally realizing what we here at Michelle Obama Watch have known from the beginning. Michelle Obama is without a doubt the coolest First Lady ever. Yes, ever, as in the history of the United States. Of course she would never say it, so we will.
From being Mom-in-Chief to encouraging community service and more support for military families, Michelle Obama will undoubtedly be a hard act to follow. She is truly the first of her kind. An around the way girl, Princeton educated, Harvard trained attorney with an affinity for public service that became the First Lady. She plants gardens, has her own beehive, and builds playgrounds all while being a wife and mother. Michelle Obama is just what American women needed. She is a real woman that leads by example that talks the talk and walks the walk.
“She has conducted herself as an educated, sensitive, down-to-earth woman — not a black woman, a woman — like when she does the gardening (to encourage healthful eating) and taking care of the family. Those are values that everybody shares,” said Rosemarie Tate, 55, of Hartford, Connecticut who was one of the participants surveyed.
As the anniversary of the election draws near, could it be that previously reluctant Americans are finding it hard to resist the charm of the coolest First Lady ever?

@PEPPER I took issue with that comment too. However, I’ll give Rosemarie a tiny benefit of the doubt. I think she may have meant, in the post racial America that we live in
, that people should just be seen as people. What may help out all the post racialers, taking the blue pill, is if they would just say, e.g. “a woman” and leave out “not a Black woman”. Sounds too much like you may be taking an issue with someones undeniable Blackness. It may also help them if they stop protesting against people who identify themselves as Black women or men, mothers or fathers, etc.

LMAO. If we live in a post racial society than I’m changing my name to Mariah Carey. If anything I’ve seen more racism now than I ever have and I’m from in the south. She should read comments on almost any blog or article about Michelle and see how much people think of her as a woman or a black women; if they think of her as a woman at all. There is an article in newsweek about Michelle written by that same lady who wrote the terrible article about Zahara Pitt’s hair. Waring!!! Ignorance in sues.

Michelle has gone down in the history books for all time, so she will always be invincible but I for one cannot get enough of the Obama’s especially Michelle – from her work agenda to her clothes and hairstyle to the White House Garden and the healthy living that she endorses. I really don’t mean to make this a “black thing” but we sisters have waited a long time for a smart, educated, married mother to come along and she has one of the most exciting jobs out there ??? Wow ! I’m speechless. I love the woman.
Let the haters hate. Michelle is having the time of her life. Even after her husband does his two terms, I am sure she will continue to do great things for America.
