I am really sick and tired of these radio talk show and media “air/bubble/empty” heads. I have learned that when you are on the right track, the haters will come out from all sides to bring you down. So what she put her career on hold to support her husband. So what she is “mom in chief” My mother stayed home to nurture 4 of her 5 children while dad went out to work. And just for the record my mom and dad were legally married and intact for 17 years until he died. I had to throw that in b/c some people think the majority of African-american households are single parent/ no father/thugs and drug runners and that is not the case.

Mrs. Obama is doing what apparently God has called her to do and be and she cannot do less than that. I love that she is being authentic and genuine unlike the trolls and backstabbers/backbiters/haters that so infiltrate these blogs.

So people like Ms. Erbe and others need to get off of their fat keisters and give involved with community service activities like Mrs. O, me and so many others.

You know sometimes, you just have to not entertain fools and their foolishness. It’s best to go about daily tasks and honor the Lord in what we do in spite of the naysayers and the backbiters. We must let our positive actions in our homes and communities speak louder than the empty barrels of the “noise in the system.”

Bonnie Erbe and people like her will always be critics why should we even waste our time talking about her? She is childish and screaming for attention. Thank God FLOTUS is doing what is best for her family and making history!

I’m go sick of these feminists. They only see one agenda and its theirs. But as a black woman being a Stepford wife is a complement. When have we ever not had to take care of the family? She is experiencing what many black women don’t have the luxury of doing; have a man take care of the family and be a trophy wife, wearing expensive clothes and doing work around the community. Feminists don’t understand that black women and white women face different things. While they are trying to get into the workforce, black women have ALWAYS worked.

Gina is right these feminists didn’t come to the FL defence when she was attacked. Where were the feminist during the scandal with the Rutgers womens basketball team? Where are the feminist against the protrayal of women in hip hop? Was Bonny on the frontlines of these issues? I wonder why not since she cares about women so much?

What’s this about her not doing enough and not working? Most people work because they haft to NOT because they want to. She don’t haft to besides this woman had a long career before becoming FL so now why can’t she take time to do what SHE wants to do?

Bonny says she don’t get the impression that the president is comfortable with women. I get the impression that Bonnie and the ones who think like her isn’t comfortable with the FL and the Pres. She’s the FL she gets to set her agenda. The FL is doing well and i only hope that she does what makes her happy since she wasn’t elected to do anything for our nation.

What Pepper said is so true and people haft to take these things into consideration. Besides in the old days, the ones that were fighting for women rights they didn’t even have women like michelle obama in mind when they were fighting for those rights even though the michelle obamas of this country was already working and they are still working.

you nailed it. she is absolutely ridiculous. my eyes were about to explode at the mere thought of Barack Obama and JESSE HELMS being in the same sentence, and then she had to ‘ go there’ and insult the First Lady.

I don’t get that about the Obamas at all. They seem like a normal family and the President and First Lady seem to really get along and love each other. When President Obama makes speeches in the Middle East, he always mentions how important equal rights for women are and one of the first things he did as President was sign the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.

I wonder what’s motivating Bonnie Erbe? Why does she feel the need to say things that aren’t true? How does it benefit her?

Regarding some comments here on the Stepford Wives, I saw that movie and it wasn’t about staying home and taking care of the kids. It was about losing your “self” and becoming an empty shell that only serves a master. To me Stepford wives is about slavery, it’s about husbands who want a women who will serve their every desire, no reciprocation. Like the serial killer Leonard Lake who said he wanted a woman he could take off the shelf, have sex with, and put back on the shelf when done.

I know stay-at-home moms who are intelligent, independent thinkers who could never be considered a Stepford wife, but they could be considered feminists because they believe in equal relationships.

Why would you all give pumas a bad name? They are beautiful, graceful creatures; they never attack first except to eat, and they mind their own business; there are male and female pumas—literally and figuratively—but there I went, using these beautiful animals as a metaphor for meaness, unhappiness, cowardice and other energies and behaviors that pumas–the ones in the wild– probably, do not do in order to make a living.

I think it is on target! MO is exactly a stepford wife! perfect comparison.
