First Lady Michelle Obama just keep giving us reasons to love her. Behold reason number 6,000,001…

Name one other First Lady that donned a cheetah costume (or is that leopard?) for a White House Halloween bash. Gotta love it! 2,000 children from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area descended upon the White House for a Halloween trick-or-treat run that they will never forget. Trick-or-Treaters were greeted by a White House driveway lined with jack-o-lanterns, carved by volunteers. According to the Associated Press, children dressed as superheroes, pirates, fairies and skeletons were treated to White House M&Ms embossed with the Presidential signature, butter cookies, and dried fruit. I’m guessing that those M&Ms will not be eaten. They’re definitely going to be placed into airtight keepsake boxes.
Is it just me or does President Obama lose cool points for coming dressed as the President? Even the First Grandmother joined in on the fun, wearing a cute orange vest. Military families and children of White House and residence staff were also treated to a Halloween party in the East Room.

Michelle looks so cute. Why does Desire halve to be in every photo? Shouldn’t she be behind the scenes? Its like she wants to be first lady, ugh!!!

@Pepper Be nice. She’s the WH Social Sec and just making sure everything runs smoothly. Plus all eyes were on FLOTUS. She was stopping the show in that cute Cat Woman getup.

@ADMIN good query. Ms Letitia is the business with her etiquette books, embassy, and WH memoirs. I’m sure Ms Desiree will be even more fierce. Like I’ve said before the Obama admin in 2017 will def be something to see. They’re raising the bar higher everyday.

I love POTUS and FLOTUS.
I think it’s fine that POTUS wore no costume – that’s fine.
FLOTUS looked terrific.
So did First Grandma Robinson.
where were Malia and Sasha? hoped for a Halloween pic of them.
Desiree has to be on top of everything, making sure things go smoothly.
I loved the pic of U.N. Amb. Rice as Goofy, with a wine glass – that whole image was too funny to me.
the decorations, the entertainment – looked like a terrific time for those lucky children and their families.
