Breathtaking!

Michelle’s gown is beautiful. I’m just so tired of her bare shoulders especially on this occasion where the Indian lady is nicely subdued. But almost anything that Michelle wears is going to outshine the black that everyone else is wearing. Should she wear black? No! But something on her top and arms would be nice. And what the heck does “She looks too African” mean? That was a dumb statement, for pete’s sake!

The person who designed the dress in Indian-American so I believe that he knows much more about Indians that you do.

Congratulation Mrs. Obama…..you look like a million bucks tonight. So proud to have you as my First Lady.

Mrs Obama looks stunning!!! I am sooooooooo proud to have her as the First Lady. It is also refreshing to have an aministration that honors the culture of another country.

I think she is the most fashionable first ladies since Jackie Kennedy…..
I loved the dress but I wish they would soften her makeup. She has a full lower lip but a thinner upper lip and they need to balance her lips…. I loved her hair.. It’s really the first time I have noticed it up and away from her face.. very elegant and regal..
Damn right she looks african….Thats her heritage……DUH….

But other than that she looks Stunning…..

First Lady Michelle Obama is the Princess, the Empress, the Queen, the Contributor, the Mother and the the Goddess of the world!!! Nothing is wrong looking African, especially since Africans are the originators, mothers and fathers of the world.

Michelle’s dress was the best I have ever seen. Simply breathtaking. Let the haters hate, we know who you are and neither us or the Obama’s care much for you anyway.

By the way, the host especially a female host (like a bride on her wedding day ) has a Gid given right to outshine EVERY guest in the room. Michelle outshone everyone at the state dinner and deservedly so. It’s her party and she’ll outshine if she wants to !!!!

Mrs. Obama looks entirely appropriate. She is wearing a designer dress with Indian bangle bracelets. She looks elegant, lady like and sophisticated.

I liked this one. I don’t pay that much attention to her attire but I hated the Inauguration number and agree with those who say she shows too much skin. Not, because she’s first lady. It’s just personal preference for me to not see someone’s arms all the time. But she rocked this one. I think it was her hair that took it up a notch.

I Like The Dress and The Hair

The First Lady looks “other worldly” beautiful….the elegantly casual hair..her radiantly glowing skin…her melting warmth…the peerless cut and colour of that sumptuous dress…those covetable earrings and bangles. Superb!

No wonder the President’s smiling!!

Why is it inappropriate for a First Lady?

It befits the occasion, is elegant and Michelle carries it off beautifully.

Each to his/her own, but I’m just trying to understand what’s not appropriate enough about the dress for a First Lady to be seen in it…..

The Bangles are Indian Tradition so dont hate on the First Lady for knowing Fashion and Culture!!! And she was styled by and Indian-American Designer!!!!!!!!!!

I read all of the comments and i’ll let the foolishness slide for now so all i’ll say is beautiful hair,beautiful makeup, and beautiful dress. I don’t know who styled her for this occasion but wonderful job! If this is any indication of what he can do, I would like to see more designs from Naeem Khan worn by the first lady. Bravo Mr. Naeem Khan u and the First Lady knocked this one OUT OF THE PARK!

Wow, since when is a stapless dress inappropriate or not modest?
Brides wear them everyday, women wear them to cocktail parties everyday.
It’s standard issue in evening attire and Michelle looked fabulous.

The dress was designed by a young man whose family has designed for Indian Royalty for THREE generations so I’m pretty sure he knew what would and what wouldn’t offend the Indian PM and he wouldn’t create a one of a kind dress for the First Lady that offended…..at least not if he wanted to work again!

DULCE……. This is America. Everyone is entitle to their opinion. My opinion, Mrs. Obama was beautiful. The dress was beautiful. And to heck with France First Lady.

Michelle looked stunning. The dress was beautiful. One can never please all persons. Didn’t you know the attire was somewhat to complement the Indian’s dress? The bangles were appropriate too. You can’t please people. What does Sara Sarkozy has to do with the state dinner. Sara Sarkozy wears what she wants and Michelle must do likewise. Everything the Obamas’ does, there is aways negative comments. But both the president and his wife are wise persons and America just need to give him a break to lead with the wisdom of Solomon. Cheers to the Obamas!!

And here’s a message to all of the haters out there:

I take it that most of you people never attend formal events. If you did, you would know that at least 50% of evening attire includes a mix of strapless and sleeveless gowns even in READY TO WEAR. The reason being that most desigeners leave the choice up to the buyer to make the selection that best shows of her assets.

It’s my opinion that people who are complaining about Michelle’s bare arms are most likely the same ones who need to cover their own arms. I suggest hitting the heavy bag, lifting some weights and push away from the dessert trays and ice cream cones instead of constantly nitpicking over someone else’s toned physique. I also find it a tad bit odd that frequently Jackie O is used as standard bearer when Mrs. Kennedy’s use of strapless evening gowns was considered quit scandalous especially since she was the FIRST first lady who wore strapless gowns but also dared to wear a black evening gown with a plunging neckline and bare back.

I guess this is what to be expected from people who sport muffin top complete with droopy, flaggy triceps. Of course you’d rather see a woman with her upper body covered more than likely you run to the nearest store seeking out turtlenecks and scarfs as you wolf down all you can eat pizza at the food court. Michelle O on the other hand works out and watches what she eats. Since she is the first lady perhaps you need to follow her lead and do what needs to be done and finally take a stroll over to the gym. Once you tone your own body I’m sure you too would feel far more comfortable at being able to free yourself to make almost any fashion choice without restriction.
