Continuing her support for military families FLOTUS hosted military women at the White House on Wednesday. These are some of the women who broke barriers and endured hardships to protect our freedoms. The trailblazers included the first woman in the Navy to be promoted to Master Chief; the first woman in the Army Reserve to be promoted to the general officer rank; the first woman in the Army to receive the Expert Field Medical Badge;the first African American woman to serve as Chief Nurse at Walter Reed Hospital.
Young ladies can certainly emulate these pioneers and see that women can rise even in the military and excel to the highest ranks. FLOTUS is certainly using her platform to bring to the fore front military families concerns and encourage all of us to support these families that have made so many sacrifices for us. Who are the women trailblazers who have inspired you?

Polls……I hope this First Lady continue to do what she feel is important and don’t let poll numbers raffle her one bit. I think she has been doing a terrific job. And I am so proud of her.

God bless all the women who have served in the armed forces of the United States past and present. Hats off to First Lady, Michelle Obama for her recognition of and concern for the well being of military families and women in the military. We are so lucky to have Michelle and Dr. Jill in the White House – two intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, sincere women. Peace+

Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden, working together, paint a very patriotic picture for America. I pray that every American looks at this picture and learn a valuable lesson. God bless both of them and the women honored.

I really like that she has taken on the cause of military women and military families!! I only wish her husband would bring all the troops back from Iraq and Afghanistan.
