On Thursday the First Family will light the National Christmas Tree at the Washington Monument. Joining the Family to help celebrate the season will be singers Cheryl Crow, Jordin Sparks, Ray LaMontagne, and hip hop artist Common. There will also be performances by Celtic Woman and jazz musicians Brad Mehldhan and Joshua Redman.
If you were not one of the lucky people who won a seat in the lottery to see the lighting of the National Christmas tree, fear not. The lighting will be televised live on public television stations around the country. You can also watch the ceremony live on Thursday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. EST and 2:00 p.m. PST at TheNationalTree.org. The site is interactive and they invite everyone to visit now and throughout the holiday season to experience all the behind-the-scenes festivities. You can even create your own customized holiday ecards.

I do not want to see the Salahis there. Knowing them they will try to crash this also. But I’m looking forward to seeing the Christmas Tree Lighting.
