Let’s see what the blogs are saying about Michelle Obama. Seems that some folks are concerned about Michelle’s absence from the 9/11 Ceremony on Thursday. Hillbuzz, Newsbusters, Sheep’s Crib-Issues, Half Moon Bay Review, and many many more are asking the question: Where was Michelle Obama? According to Jake Tapper of the ABC blog, Political Punch, The campaign had originally thought the 9/11 Commemoration was just for the two candidates, and didn’t realize Cindy McCain was going until earlier this week. Unlike the McCain’s, whose children are not in elementary school, the Obamas felt it best not to change Michelle’s schedule to require her to be away from the weeMichelles for more than the previously scheduled afternoon in Indiana.
Restoring Love, a blog for gay couples, praised Michelle and her speech during Democratic National Convention luncheon for gay delegates and dignitaries’s. Calling for a society in which gay Americans would be able to fully enjoy a life of dignity and freedom, Michelle’s speech was considered a supportive and genuine message.
Those who know their way around the kitchen will be pleased with Michelle’s appearance on the Food Network show “Paula’s Party” with host Paula Deen. You can dish up all of the news on her segment taped recently  here, here, here, here, and here. Now, I’m wondering if Michelle knows how to cook Kosher as so many folks seem to be obsessed with the reports Michelle’s cousin is a Rabbi. This is a really big deal and revelation for Muckety and Under the LobsterScope, although this MOWer has no idea as to why?
And finally, More about Politics, informs us that Michelle Obama has received the coveted Bill O’Reily “Patriot Award” for dancing with Ellen Degeneres during a Monday appearance on her show because, according to O’Reily:Â we need all the dancing we can get in America. It lightens the mood. BTW, O’Reily also awarded Elisabeth Hasselbeck the “Pinhead Award” saying she was out of bounds at a fundraiser honoring Cindy McCain. And that’s all I got to say about that!

How dare Michelle treat her children as a top priority. I’m confident that if she’d gone to Ground Zero, her critics would’ve asked why she wasn’t there for her girls’ first day of school.

Michelle should have considered her “presumptive lst lady” responsibilities before she and her husband agreed to make a run for the White House. Like it or not, kids or no kids, her place is beside her candidate…..whenever. Wasn’t her place at ground zero to honor the Americans she and her husband choose to serve? Very politically incorrect!

I wish people would be honest. Michelle spoke at the Natl Baptist Convention on Wed. The first day of school for the girls was on that Tue, hence her absence at the 9-11 memorial service in NYC.

It doesn’t surprise me that she wasn’t there remember shes the one who is disappointed in her counrty. I firmly believe that she has taken Rev. Wrights hate speech to heart and she could just about care less about the country the way it is. She wants to win this election so that she can mold this country into her vision!
Disrespectful is what she is. Why hasn’t this woman stood up and said herself, not through her husband, for people to back off Sarah Palin? Michelle you are a woman right? How would you feel if you where the one on the recieving end of your husband and his cronies crusade to villianize Gov. Palin personally instead of politically?
That speaks to the character of this woman and should show us what kind of role model she would be for the youith of our nation.

Michelle has more intelligence and class than you stand, which is more than can be said for Sarah Palin…..and you are more than prepared to let this woman become possible VP…..absolutely astounding!!!

Why are you dissing Palin’s daughter? Aren’t you saying exactly what the Obama’s allege to want to fix? Children often don’t support their parents’ values. I didn’t think of Bristol as being “paraded” by her family. Should she be shut up or sent away as they would have done 50 years ago? She appeared with her family and her fiance. The baby will be born in wedlock. Do you really see this young woman as “questionable baggage”? Are you as angry that Obama’s mother was pregnant at 17-18 before her marriage? Palin didn’t “let” her daughter get pregnant. I’ll go as far to say she wasn’t even involved. Should we bring back medieval chastity belts? Have you never heard the statement “where there’s a will, there’s a way”?
How can you consider Michelle a “lady of scruples” (character and intelligence) when she repeatedly subjected her poor girls to the hateful rants of Rev. Wright? How is that broadening their horizons? How does that support the country’s and Dem party’s “unity” message of which Obama used to speak?
Put their country first? Carol, they want to remake this country into another failed Marxist society. I hope everyone does a lot of thinking and research before the November election.

I’m also glad that Michelle Obama accompanied her children to school. To me it shows that she meant what she said about being a good mother.
Barack Obama, who is the one actually running for office, was where he was supposed to be - at a ceremony of national significance.
To me, it seems as though people who truly hate the idea of a Black male and female being the First Couple, will stop at nothing less than to attempt to tear the Obama family apart.
We’ve already seen the news articles attempting to pit Barack against Michelle. Now people want to include school-age children in their hate-filled game.

It is amazing to me that folks are truly unable to see the forest for the trees.
So, let me break it down. First Michelle Obama is a mother of young girls who has decided to have some sense of normality in their lives. The Obama campaign DID NOT KNOW that Cindy was going to accompany McCain to the 9/11 memorial - and therefore - she did not attend the ceremony. Call her unpatriotic or call her a mother - but that was a decision she and Obama made in order to keep their commitment to their children by having only 1 overnight trip a week.
The Palin’s “preach” no sex before marriage. But, it is a message that fell not only on the deaf ears of Bristol but on the deaf ears of Bristol’s parents. Track was born 8 months after the Palin’s eloped across the street to get married. He was not premature - he was fullterm. Bottomline here is that the Palin’s message is hypocritical…period…paragraph. No, the Palin’s didn’t “let” their daughter get pregnant - but the obviously did not do much to try and prevent it cause “the apple don’t fall too far from the tree”.
Second, and with respect to Rev. Wright. Man! I’m so sick and tired of hearing about him that I don’t know what to do. Folks need to go to youtube and listen to the sermon MLK delivered EXACTLY ONE YEAR before he was assassinated. Then we can talk about Rev. Wright.
Third, the Palin’s subscribe to a philosophy and tradition of putting not the Country First - but Alaska first. I urge folk to read and listen to comments/commentary of Gov. Palin pre the VP selection and then read the position of the Alaska Independent Party. Although it has been said that the Gov. has never been an AIP member, Todd was in fact a member from 1995 to 2002. One can only suspect that he relinquished that membership because of his wife’s political aspirations. Nevertheless, the AIP are on record of considering both Palins as supporters of their cause.
Finally, I just wish that folks would be honest. If you don’t want to see Obama president because you don’t support his stance on the issues - FINE. But, if on the otherhand, you don’t support Obama because he’s Black, then ADMIT IT! Not to me or others - but to yourselves. Then you would feel much better in your support of a man who committed adultry, escaped indictment with his dealings with the Keating 5, will remain in Iraq until the war is won regardless how long it takes or the blood that is shed, has no record of diversity and inclusiveness, and lies at the drop of a hat.

Carol, I suppose you think it’s a fine representation of being a partent to take your young children (since birth) to a hate spewing, racist church as a spiritual foundation? How will you feel when Obama requires Rev. Wrights teaching to your children? Don’t discount it. Obama has some of the most radical America hating people that could be allowed in our country and many that would not that support his beliefs. Maybe it would be a good thing if we were all unified (dangerous word if you look outside the heavenly impression and think of China or other Communist countries) and our children were all taught what Obama feels is right for them in public schools. Sheep all of you who look past the undignified associations. Only in America could a left wing, America hating Jr. Senator who voted present more than opinion while in office run for this highest office in this country and not be laughed or shamed away first. Do I agree with McCain? No. Apparently America has sunk so low and dumbed down to the point that we no longer have respectable people to run for office. But back to the “children.” The Obama’s make me ill to think they would take children to a radical, America hating, white hating racist church and call that religion. Buy hey for those of you who think you will be another check in the mail for being lazy, I guess it works.

And as for Sarah, shame on all of you for not giving some credit to the woman for her service to her country. I understand now there is a porno look alike representing her. She has an 80% approval and executive decisio making and budgeting on her side. America may be ready for a black radical who lies time after time when caught with his radical associates, but how dare Sarah have children, or wink at a camera? Or be attractive? I guess this country forgot women as we were making these great leaps toward equality. A black radical who lies is A OK but an attractive woman with executive experience, and 80% approval rating n her state who juggles being a Mother and a representative of our country is well…..pushing the equality button too far. Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. No whinning when all these outlandish expensive (without a source to pay for them) programs just don’t work out as planned. Betcha Obama continues to blame Bush until the day he doesn’t get re-elected. Too late then or the harm he will do to this country. Just ask yourself, would you let Obama take your children to church? If the answer is no, then he’s not fit to make decisions that affect your children.
