For those of you that have been asking, "Where are the weeMichelles?" Here they are! The First Lady, weeMichelles, and First Dog Bo visited the Children's National Medical Center this afternoon continuing a tradition that began with First Lady Bess Truman. They visited with children in the medical center in a reception that was closed to the press. After the closed meeting they stayed behind to read a book and take questions. You just gotta love this family.

The HBO documentary, By The People The Election of Barack Obama, highlights behind the scenes footage of the First Family on the campaign trail. Filmmakers Amy Rice and Alicia Sams began filming, then Senator Obama, one year before he announced his campaign for presidency. Their initial premise was to "examine the political experience of a promising young politician."

The White House Photo Office has just released this new portrait of the First Family. First Lady Michelle Obama, President Barack Obama, and the weeMichelles sat for a family portrait in the Green Room of the White House on September 1, 2009. The photo was taken by Annie Leibovitz. This is the first official family photo of the Obamas in the White House. This will definitely be one for the history books.

Politico is speculating that the above ad may "risk a father’s anger." This new advertising campaign is sponsored by the non-profit Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). According to PCRM's press release the new ad campaign is designed to "draw a sharp comparison between the foods served at the school the president’s children attend and those served at other schools."
