Well, one way or another, they are going to find a way to lay blame with Michelle Obama in the event that the Democrats don’t win in November. Oswald Spengler wrote a piece for the Asia Times called. How Barack Lost The Election.
The main thrust of this article is that Michelle is a Jedi Master who controls the minds of everyone on the Obama campaign staff and she single handedly chose who would speak at the Democratic National Convention and ultimately who Obama would choose as his running mate. Michelle is labeled Obama’s weak spot. OH yes… and she’s ANGRY.
One human relationship crowds the others out of his life, his marriage to Michelle, a strong, assertive and very angry woman…If Novak’s report is accurate, then Michelle’s anger will have lost the election for Obama, as Achilles’ anger nearly killed the Greek cause in the Trojan War. But the responsibility rests not with Michelle, but with Obama. Asia Times
So it is a bad thing that a man has a close relationship with his wife? There is more.
Why didn’t Obama choose Hillary? The most credible explanation came from veteran columnist Robert Novak May 10, who reports that Michelle Obama vetoed Hillary’s candidacy. “The Democratic front-runner’s wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party’s nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility,” Novak wrote. If that is true, then Obama succumbed to the character weakness I described in a February 26 profile of (Obama’s women reveal his secret). His peculiar dependency on an assertive and often rancorous spouse, I argued, made him vulnerable, and predicted that Obama “will destroy himself before he destroys the country”. Asia Times
Peculiar dependency? Wow, I thought that that was what married people did… depended on each other
Well at least he came right out and said it instead of tip toeing around it like other members of MSM. It is just really interesting seeing the lens through which other people, view Michelle Obama. I see an extremely supportive spouse who gave up her life to help her husband achieve his personal ambitions. I haven’t seen anger once. Passion, yes.

This is unbelievable. I wouldn’t even call this journalism but libelous trash.

Well journalism has gone the way or leaded gas. Wuld we recognize it if we saw it?
At least he puts it OUT there and doesn’t go all passive aggressive like the New York Times and their anti-Michelle bias

I only remember reading one previous article from this paper, and if I recall, it was another anti-Michelle piece.

No, this isn’t just anti-Michelle Rikryah….this is anti-black women PERIOD. That was a direct shot at all black women.

Do you personally know any Black women….I did not think so. Black women are some of the hardest working women on this planet. If you take a Black woman, or any woman for granted, she will be angry. Your opinions are just plain racist remarks referring Black women as “angry”. Get to the point and just admit that you are a racist. That would make me less angry then skirting what you really are attempting to say that you don’t like Blacks. Signed…tired of excuses(not angry) Black woman.

Some of our greatest writers should reply to this scurrilous reporting. This is a hater, a hater who is already planting the seed for Obama’s loss. This is to make us doubtful and debilitated. But we have already won. Count the Electoral votes. Barack will win! And our diva will walk across the White house rooms.

How do you get anti-black woman out of that article? It just goes to show the ignorance of the people in this nation. So …the democrats are anti-white woman…or just anti-women or what? Hilary got the popular vote, people love Palin, and the only problem with Michelle Obama (for now) is not Michelle but the people who keep shouting racist remarks at everyone who is NOT Black…give me a break. Perhaps some of the information that’s be floating out there about her thesis that isn’t allowed to go public unitl after the election (much to hide I guess) is part of the reason someone has referred to her as angry. Believe it or not…we are all the same race…the human race.

Am I the only one? Why do these “assessments” read like plots from soaps–or melodrama, in general? My onlyconclusion is that the “Spenglers” lack any real concept of issues–they just flail around for space-filler to justify their paychecks. ????

I read the article as well but I felt sorry for the writer. Apart from the fact that it was a piece that was one-sided I felt the writer had some deep issues - a sort of repressed anger. Anger at seeing another show courage and passion. My guess is that the writer is not exactly happy about his or her life and only feels energised at creating a phony sensation.
I tried to find out if the writer was based in Delhi or somewhere in the States in order to make a valid conclusion but came short. I feel the writers culture and social background also has a resonance with the article.
Another issue I am having problems with is why everyone feels Hilary Clinton would have been an ideal choice - can’t the see that this would have been a bit of more of the same with Bill being on board. Give yourself all a break and assess everyone critically, write down your own manifesto for what you feel is best for you right now and choose along those lines rather than out of fear.I can assure and encourage all that as an observer things can only get better. May the best man win.

This man speaks as if he is assessing wild boars. He is a racist, I feel it through his ink. Funny they count Obama out now, the same man they counted out when Wright hit the fan.

given that obama isn’t the candidate that has his wife walking a step behind & present at every single campaign event he holds, i find it curious that he’s the one that is apparently “peculiarly dependent” on his spouse. i believe michelle when she says that she has no interest in doing barack’s job & he has no interest in doing hers; this notion of michelle (or any other intelligent & capable woman) as the controlling spouse is more than a little tiresome.

Michelle is an angry black woman that obviously stopped Hillary from being picked as VP,Michelle does not like white women and Obama decision not choose Hillary was a political mistake that will cost him the election. She is a controlling wife and took her children and husband to the Racist church of Rev Wright for how many years??

John McCain seems to be totally dependent on Sarah Palin now. She’s the strong one. He sounded pretty bland before she got on the ticket, but now he’s full of fire. I mentioned this to a male friend, and he said, “He’s in love.”

Why is anyone who does not have a favoravle impression of the Obamas seen as racist? The first time I heard her rancor I felt she would be his Achilles’ heel in this race. One reason she is not with Barry all the time is that her mouth was becoming a liability to his campaign. She spoke inappropriately for a candidate’s wife, and like it or not, that’s her role.
I do agree that not nominating Hillary as VP was a dumb move. She received more than half of the primary votes. She had committed Dem supporters. His excuse was that she didn’t fit the picture of a new Washington and change….then he selects a Senator of 6 terms….the ultimate Washington insider. So his excuse was phony.
When the race first started Michelle was asked in an interview if she would support Hillary if she won the primary instead of her husband. Her answer was, “absolutely not.” I think her influence about her petty girl politics won out with Barry. After being abandoned by his mother so young, he probably needed a substitute mommy.

Nurse Snow, it all makes such sense, now; Michelle’s mouth is such “a liability” that it caused her to be chosen to be front and centre on the first day in Denver. Oh, to have a mouth like that.
I personally respect the right of any individual to own their own opinion of Barack and Michelle, be it unfavourable or favourable. It certainly doesn’t make anyone racist, although it is interesting to note that often the very people posing the question posed in your post do make me wonder…. Funny that.
Not nominating Hillary as VP may well have been done for reasons that will not come to light until much later down the road. It’s far to early to label any such move dumb. Mmm. I wonder whether John is still feeling that he made the right selection in his choice of VP. Too early to tell, perhaps. We shall see…..
Thank you to Michelle for being honest when she was asked the question about whether she would support Hillary if she won the primary instead of her husband. I see nothing wrong with her forthright response at all. If that is deemed to be a sign of “petty girl politics” by at least one person, then so be it.
Oh, and the uncalled for “petty girl” crack about Barack being abandoned by his mother and probably needing a substitute mummy is entirely in keeping with the tone of your entire post. In short, unimpressive.
