Well that didn't take long. The New York Daily has posted a retraction today to the story it ran mentioning that Michelle Obama ordered room service at the Waldorf-Astoria, dining on caviar and lobster. Turns out she wasn't even at that hotel. A big to-do about nothing. Will the right-wing pundits back off from attacks on her based on bad information? Of course not.

John McCain is down in the poll numbers, down in the electoral college projections, and looks to have a number of red states torn from his grasp. His campaign has gone on the attack over the past week, most noticeably by making referance to Obama's aquaintanceship with former Weatherman Bill Ayers. Now, McCain has broken his own campaign rule of leaving spouses alone and is attacking Michelle.

Michelle's speech last night at the Democratic National Convention has recieved rave reviews from all corners of the political spectrum.
Her speech was impassioned, eloquent, superbly performed, and insprirational. Today, a personal email was sent out by the Barack Obama campaign, in which Barack calls her speech "the best speech of the campaign so far".

Just prior of Michelle's remarks at the Democratic National Convention, an email was sent out by the Obama campaign showing Michelle in last-minute preparations for her speech. The email included a video, and shows her consulting with advisers and playing with her daughters.
