I was quite intrigued by an article on Washingtonpost.com, titled “First Lady: A Job Worth a Paycheck”written by Lauren Stiller Rikleen. Hmm... Should Michelle Obama receive a paycheck for her role as First Lady? It’s an excellent question that deserves some attention. Says Rikleen,

In a post entitled, "Michelle Obama, Again," moderator and conservative pundit Ramesh Ponnuru responds to the two pieces that ran in Sunday's post about Michelle Obama, as well as to Senator Obama's comments about the treatment of his wife. Curtis ponders the conspicuous absence of prominent feminist leaders such as Gloria Steinem, while Michelle Obama withstands the same slings and arrows of sexism Hillary did (both when she was a prospective First Lady, and more recently as a serious contender for the presidency), as well as Curtis calls "racial stereotypes."

The Michelle Obama obsession is scheduled to reach book stores this October. The prospective First Lady's life is being captured in the form of a book by Liza Mundy, a reporter for the Washington Post. Simon & Schuster will publish the currently untitled book with an initial printing of 100,000 copies. (Source)
