Regular viewers of The View may not know what to make of co-host, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, who says “I mean we have great respect for one another” when speaking about Michelle Obama on primetime television when all the world is listening, then refers to her as “another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless” when only the Republicans are listening.

So, Elizabeth what did you really mean when you told Sean Hannity, that you liked Michelle Obama and “We had a mutual respect for one another. Like we said on the show it’s interesting that just because your politics are quite different.” ?

Yeah i heard abotu her saying that when Cindy McCain came on , she didn’t have a set of questions that they could not ask her, but when Michelle came on there were areas they were not supposed to go into. If you will recal, when Michelle went on, she was being hounded relentlessly

I wonder when the Repubs allow Palin to take questions and is on the view if Lizzie will let us know about her topics that have been deemed “off limits” like just about everything!?

Well there’s a shock lol. She’s a nobody. She’s a reality tv nobody that lucked into a job because someone, somewhere decided there was a void for an empty headed, narrow minded, punk, that need to be filled.

So if Cindy had nothing to hide why didn’t we hear about the fact that John McCain was still married to his first wife when he and Cindy applied for their marriage license? I didn’t hear a conversation about Cindy stealing narcotics from her charity and avoiding jail time because of her connections. No mention of her involvement in the Keating 5. It’s like republicans live in an alternate universe where if you pretend like something didn’t happen it never happened. Elizabeth is an idiot and I hope the other ladies call her on it and neither of the Obamas go on that show again.

Cindy has nothing to hide yet she’s been very inconsistent with the story about adopting her Bengali daughter. Yeah, OK. She has nothing to hide yet her older half-sister just came out of the shadows. Yeah, OK.

It is an outright lie to suggest that Cindy McCain or the McCain Campaign in general did not have a clear understanding and agreement of what topics were off limits to The View hosts. Who actually believes that in the midst of a presidential campaign the spouse of the Republican candidate went on a national daytime TV show and there was this “no holds barred, all willy nilly, anything goes” atmosphere? Seriously? Who believes that? Who would be that naive? Elisabeth lied. Its just a lie. This is some semantics game. Perhaps Michelle’s camp had the agreement formalized, but you can best believe no way in HELL did Cindy McCain appear without a clear understanding that certain subjects were not to be discussed.

I think we should go full forward with this. Make the View have to at least address it on air. I encourage everyone to at least send an email or fax or something to the View and thanks OBAMA SUPPORTER for adding the avenues to address this
Can someone tell me why Whoopi and Sherri often sit while Elisabeth goes on her rants. I know the Bill guy is Republican but sometimes I’m astonished at what they Elisabeth get away with and don’t call her on it.

Elizabeth is a smug, pinched-face neocon. Joy Beyhar played off the slight to Michelle Obama on Larry King last night, but she could barely contain herself this morning.
I waited up to watch “The View,” and you could tell there was a bit of tension on the set. Elizabeth wasn’t trying to shout down the other hosts, and it was obvious Joy was seething. I wonder if she would have gone off if Babs had been there. I got the feeling that Whoopi and Sherry were hoping they could get through the morning without and incident.
Is the traditional media talking about it? No. They are busy giving talking points from the McCain campaign, Those idiots want Obama to apologize to Sarah Palin for saying “lipstick on a pig.” It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t talking about Sarah Palin; it only matters that his audience thought he was. Isn’t that the most asinine thing you have ever heard?
I shut the tv off during the first segment sense there were no fireworks.

Elisabeth wanted to dig into Michelle about Rev. Wright on air, but I’d bet a box of donuts that Michelle gave her a look like “bitch don’t go there” and then Michelle probably reiterated to the View producers that she wasn’t going to take any questions on Rev. Wright. Barbara Walters probably marched up to Lizzy, took her to the side and warned her not to bring up Rev. Wright or else. Since Elisabeth didn’t have anything else to ask Michelle, this is why she was quiet that day on the View.
Elisabeth alluded to it when she was on the Hannity show, saying that Michelle got tense when she asked her about Rev. Wright in the dressing room.
Elisabeth is still mad that she did not get to dig into Michelle’s ass about Rev. Wright, so she’s going to do the passive thing by snarking on Michelle. Yet, if Michelle and her were in a room by themselves, woman to woman, Elisabeth would NOT get up in Michelle’s grill.
That’s why Elisabeth likes Sarah Palin so much; both of them strike me as women who like to mouth off about you behind your back, but when you confront them face to face, they put on the tears and the victim act.

I fired off a complaint to The View as soon as I read about Hasselbeck’s remarks at the GOP convention. She was there on behalf of the show and therefore owes Michelle Obama a public apology, delivered straight from her Hot Topics perch. What irks me is that Liz can’t even discuss the presidential race without repeating lines straight from McCain Central. If she has an original thought in her head, I’ve yet to see any evidence of it.

Can’t stand the show. Gives me an instant migraine trying to listen to multiple women speaking at the same time. Liz reminds me of the annoying roommate that you accidentally drop their toothbrush in the toilet yet you wake up extra early just to watch her brush her teeth. This woman is the most whinny and conniving bitch on the show. I predict she will be asked to leave quite suddenly. Who is she anyway? Must have done something with her mouth to get on that show.
